I kinda thought Emily Blunt too. When I was reading the book, I was also watching The Office a lot, so I pictured John Krasinski for Louis. Having the husband and wife team get together again after A Quiet Place would be pretty cool.

Thanks. As for Rachel, I guess I had Blunt on the brain (the actress, not weed, ha) because Danie was telling me how good she was in A Quiet Place.Good choices Doc, especially for Goldman since according to the stories that actor is hard-to-link in real life.
((((joyfulgirlh)))) - hopefully they won't screw it up too bad!I don't want it. The remake I mean (it's late, I'm sleepy). At this point in time I'm not even trying to keep an open mind about it. Jud & Gage are perfect just as they are....
....it IS damn cool....not sure where to send you to try to get a screen made....any way to trace the artist?....any attribution on the image?.....Hey I thought you guys would like to see this. Film-maker Dennis Widmyer tweeted this as the official start of filming for the new version. Take note of the clap-board's illustration, which is taken straight from one of the paperbacks. Obviously this design won't be for the film, but I thought it was pretty cool.
I have a question for you as well. I came across the illustration below on a movie site that linked to the story above. This is a great piece of art isn't it? Does anyone know the source, e.g. new paperback art-work, fan art, etc.? Boy would I love to get a t-shirt with this design.

Welcome, Kelliblue. It's my favorite too. My biggest hope for this adaptation is to see heartfelt performances. If the director can do this, while creating a genuine scary atmosphere like in The Blair Witch Project, I will be happy. One thing Mary Lambert's version had going for it was the soundtrack, location, and faithfulness to book. I'm more than a little curious how Zelda will appear in the new version.I wouldn't mind seeing the remake. This is my favorite Stephen King novel. I've read it several times.
