I am close to the end! Seriously only 15 pages away, I meant to post this earlier but didn't have time. May I just zombie Gage has a fowl mouth. Speaking of character changes, Louis Creed is slipping into insanity. In the beginning of the book he was happy with his family but as soon as he saw what the ancient burial ground could do he became obsessed and filled with self anger. He was more closed off from his family and as soon as his son died, everything got worse. Rachel Creed (his wife) and Ellie (daughter) became depressed and Rachel pretty much went insane as well. I hope the family doesn't slip into insanity as well, I am very concerned for Louis Creed and his family. I think it will end with Gage dying again and church dying again. I really hope the rest of the living Creeds survive.

Finishing the book, a little disappointed in the end because all Creeds but Ellie died. I wish they wouldn't all have died, because poor Ellie is all alone and has no family but her grandparents left. That kid is still very young as well, I feel very very bad for her. The book overall is very very good, very suspenseful (as most Stephen king stories are). I would definitely read another book by him so far I've read Pet sematary, Changing seasons (Shaw shank Redemption, Apt. pupil, The body, Winters tale), and half of misery. Too be honest Misery was a bit dull for my taste and so was winters tale. Again definitely would read another Stephen King story.

I never did read this book because they spelled 'Cemetery' wrong. I thought "If they got the title wrong then the rest of this book is probably sub-standard.". I decided to spend my time more wisely by watching the movie 'Inglourious Basterds'.
You are missing out on one of King's best novels. It's spelled wrong because that's how the kid(s) spelled it in the book.

Same, just like how The Beatles are massively overrated when they can’t even spell their own name right.

I always found Jud's motivation in revealing the secret to Louis to be a strange part of the book. As best I can remember, he thought he was doing Louis a favor for saving his wife but there was also some indication that he was trying to teach Ellie a lesson about death being better than suffering. How and why he thought Ellie might benefit from that life lesson is left unsaid. There was an argument between Louis and his wife about how to explain death to a child but Jud was not a party to it. And by bringing Church back to life he was in some sense helping her to avoid confronting the issue. Jud came off much different in the new movie which I didn't care for. He is not nearly as sympathetic and almost creepy in his relationship with family. It was like he was setting the Creeds up out of his own loneliness.
