....wellllllll, here's some thoughts on last night's Dayton appearance.....seats were great!...we were Center Stage only 15 rows back, which allowed for perfect perspective, and I got an aisle seat which allowed me to stretch the tree trunks a little bit....other positives: Angela(Notebook Girl)is a real sweetheart, and Tracy and I were tickled to death to meet her, and be near her during the talk....the venue is a beautiful old place and I also came away even more impressed with Steve than I already was....he is not only a genius with his writing, he also comes across so naturally....just as if we were sitting around a small table listening to him tale-spin, rather than pacing a stage in front of hundreds of people....what a genuinely nice man, and I don't pass that compliment around lightly....quibbles?.....yeah, I had a couple....first, as Angela already mentioned, the asshat in our row who couldn't shut up OR turn her damn phone to silent....other than her idiocy, you could have heard a pin drop as Steve spoke...the main gripe I had, was with the way the doors were handled.....the main theatre doors were opened promptly at 5:30 as promised, BUT-they had us wait in a cattle chute format until 6 before we could enter the auditorium doors....half an hour slammed up against one another....very poorly handled.......let's see, oh yeah!...they auctioned off a signed EOW poster for the library group in Dayton-and raised $4.400!!!!....plus, as Marsha figured-Uncle Steve let info slip on one of his upcoming releases, but I shall keep that to myself until it is official here on the Board....overall, Tracy and I had a great time-even though Dayton streets sucketh most highly....had to go round the block forever until we could locate how to park and get to the venue.....yep, yep-a good time was indeed had by all and I will leave you with some pics below, and maybe more to come after Tracy sends me the ones she took.....
