Nashville is supposed to be a zoo this weekend with 85k downtown for some music event on Saturday. And 95 degrees. Should be fun getting around and parking! I was at the Sewickley, PA event and that was painless. King is looking very frail and told most of the same stories but always great to see him and got 1 of 2 books signed.

My parents went to the event in WV tonight and sent me a pic. Looks as if all books were wrapped... a lot of wasted time and paper!!

The Charleston WV event was great! Stephen is a terrific public speaker. He shared some stories from ON WRITING, and some I had never heard. The flat tire story was hilarious.

He did share some news about upcoming works, but it doesn't sound like anything for this year. I will say I loved his talk about his connection to WV and why he included Charleston on the tour. And now I am really looking forward to one of his future books.... Hint hint.

I also found it odd that some of the books were wrapped in paper bags....but not all. I think they ran out of bags.....as it didn't have any significance on whether or not they were signed. I received a wrapped book, my wife did not, both unfortunately we're unsigned.

So my quest for Mr Kings autograph continues.......

We came to Louisville from St. Louis for the event. Trying to decide how early to get there. Anyone have any ideas?

Some people have a line fetish and feel compelled to get in line hours beforehand even with assigned seats. Like when boarding a plane, this creates a panic herding instinct and soon you have a hundred or more people in line. There is really not much reason to stand in line with assigned seats. They get everyone in before it starts. But if you get nervous, then getting in line 30 minutes or so before the gate opens does the trick. It was brutal hot at the Nashville event yesterday and there were probably 300 people in line in front of me when I got there about 20 mintutes before they started letting people in.
