In semi-related news, Sanders turned in what was arguably his best performance yet at the "town hall meeting" the Democrats held tonight. He answered a lot of tough questions and did a great job of dispelling a lot of the confusion and negativity the Clinton campaign has thrown his way over the last few weeks. He seemed very relaxed and reasonable, but very professional and unafraid.

In other words, he seemed very presidential tonight. In OTHER words, I'm changing my vote. :)

Edit: Looks like I can't change my vote. Ah, well. Consider my vote cast for Senator Sanders.

Anyone is better than Ted Cruz. *shudder*
Good lord, yes! And I just saw your post about Sanders in a town hall meeting. I've been busy trying to beat a deadline today, and I hadn't seen that was going to occur. I plan on seeing what I can find out about it. He's done FAR better than I expected, and certainly better than the DNC could have anticipated. Part of it is that he says some things that seem like plain common sense, part that he's so far resisted pandering to special interest groups (youth, women. My daughter tells me that Mrs. Clinton's lurches toward pop culture references and paling around with young celebrities is a HUGE turn off for her demographic--like saying, "You're too dumb to listen to facts, so like me because I'm 'hip'." I pretty much feel the same about her supposed appeal to women), and part that so many people just don't like Mrs. Clinton.
