It's mind boggling how SK created such a vivid and intense story in so few pages!

True. I wonder if this is one of his 'internal worlds'. I think his worlds are somewhat like dice rolls; but not the normal dice with six sides; More like a die with twenty different sides, the type they use to play dungeons and dragons. It is somewhat normal, but then a few things are tweaked.
I'm gonna go soon. My son is at a friends house, so I am going to have a little 'hubby' time.
I don't know anything about D&D, but I love your description! The fact that SK can write these mammoth novels (The Stand, UTD...) and can still write a "short" short story like Popsy just shows his amazing range of talent!
You are not kidding Morgan. His prose draws me back each time I read other authors. I like his honest wording. I don't feel like he 'talks down' to me or tries to impress me with how smart he is, but makes me feel as if I am sitting on a float in a pool, or having a beer or glass of wine, and just chilling. We miss you too, Hon. I am glad you got the job and are able to make it work though. I started a new job on Monday too. Time seems tighter somehow, but I look forward to Friday evenings to connect. Dig out the book Chickie and read on ahead. 8)
