according to the police officer that spoke at the news conference, Toronto has never had a serial killer.

I’m a bit confused.

He was charged with murdering two gay men. No bodies recovered. Then police started investigating. He was charged with the murders of three more men. I’m not sure if they were all gay. (Only matters with regard to profile of victims.) Police found skeletal remains of at least three people. But that cannot be any of the five he’s already charged with. It would take more than one day to identify the victims, and at least one of the three was never reported at missing, so they wouldn’t have had reason to compare. So, that is at least 8 victims.

This was just on TV in the news (listening to it in the background). Sounds like he had a landscaping business and now they are searching the properties of his previous clients, as body parts were found. Yikes!

There was no mention on our news about whether they were gay or not. They just mentioned a few names and they were all males.

Really - never had a serial killer in Toronto? That is surprising, considering how large Toronto is now.

Wow - I just clicked on your link

He was described as jovial and had a part time job as a mall Santa :icon_eek:

I know, right? But I cannot remember ever a serial killer here, and google only gives me other places in Canada.

Everything about this guy goes against what is expected.

He was self employed. He was friendly...people liked him. He was openly gay...known in the Gay Village.

People in The Village have long been saying someone is targeting them, but the police have said no. Although, the police were saying no through the fall, while they were gathering evidence against this guy. Keeping their cards close, as they should.

I do wonder if some of the trans people killed will have been his victims. I doubt it because their bodies have been found.
