I agree with that other guy, the one who thinks Revival is a straight ahead horror novel, but you're a friend so I would rather agree with you about Revival being dark and enlightening even though I didn't find it so. I'll never meet or talk to that other guy lol. Tell me if you want me to post

It seems that its a hit or miss kind of thing. Either it impacts deeply or it doesn't. Although, from what I can tell most people do get a bit messed up by the ending.

I agree. While I thoroughly enjoyed Revival, it wasn't as scary as I anticipated it being. I think the primary reason for this was the quote I read, "Stephen King's darkest novel to date." Or something to that effect. Maybe I need to re-read it. It was scary. I thought Ackerman's Field was scarier than Rev Jacobs.
Every time I saw Mother mentioned I kept thinking of Mother Mary. And then imagining Baphomet.
