I'm only 2 chapters in but I'm really enjoying it so far. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that for some reason the book (I take the dust jacket off while reading) is staining my hands black. Every time I put it down I have to go scrub my hands for a few minutes or else I look like I just got fingerprinted down at county.

I would take it back to the place of purchase and talk to them about where to go with that.

I'll also just tag Moderator in case there is something else I should have mentioned.

The last three DT books did this too, but they had cloth spines. SB has a paper spine. Some people had to let their DT books sit for a couple of weeks so the ink wouldn't come off on their hands.

Oh yeah? I'd never heard of that happening with any book before. It seems to be getting better though, I just finished another chapter and the marks on my hands were pretty faint so I don't think I need to take it back to Barnes and Noble or anything. It wouldn't have been a problem if I weren't so anal about keeping my dust jackets nice, but ever since I dropped Keith Richards' "Life" and ripped his face in half I've been careful with them.

Try using the Brodart type covers. They don't cost much and you can get them in different sizes/amounts.

May I suggest using a stretch book cover. Sometimes called a book sock. It's a stretchable fabric. Take the DJ off and replace with cover.
