After we lost Quin last December, Grandma has been digging in her heels, but she did like the companionship and security that a dog brings.
I'm not home yet to take a picture, but we have a new addition, Shadow. Grandsons went with her to help with the choice, if one was to be made, and indeed he was. I'm a little surprised, because 1) he's male (Nakaya and Quin were real bitches) and 2) he's seven months old (Grandma didn't want to take a lot of time training). One of the grandboys is staying with her tonight to help out.
It's a sweet thing. Shadow will probably think I'm an intruder by the time I get back.
