So, you guys may remember that I had to farewell my big yellow dog (Oz) in Feb this year and I had said that I'd never have 2 dogs at the same time again. I have been lost without my big guy and my girl Ella has been okay when we're busy doing things, but seems a bit lost when we're not.
And... uh, so I found a wee guy that needed a little adopting and one thing is leading to another...

I will be picking him up on Sat afternoon... I really hope Ella falls in love with him as quickly as I have been.

Yet-to-be-formally-named... currently called "Blue" because that was the colour of the collar that was put on him for identification purposes among his siblings.

Nice wee doggie - Do you think he will grow up to be a big dog? What kind of dog is Ella? Congratulations!

 Thanks... and sorry Neesy I keep forgetting to answer this!

He should be reasonably large, he's mostly a working dog breed. Ella is a Chocolate Lab.

I'm not sure if I have replied since we settled on his name? He is now called "Mac".

Mac and Ella, what a magnificent photo. Many years of playful play. So happy for you FlakeNoir .

Why, I think that bottom photo should be carved into Mt. Ruffmore.

How are they getting along?
Really well now. Initially though, Ella was a grumpy pants and kept growling at him when he got all up in her grill. Now they play together and sleep snuggled up... whew! Thank goodness!
For the first couple days I thought I'd made a huge mistake. She loved her Oz so much and he really took Ella in when she arrived as a 10 week old pup, but this was nowhere near as smooth. She's possibly still grieving Oz too, but things are so much better even just a week and a bit later. So far he is super easy to train too.

swiftdog2.0 ... (trying to save on posts here  ) I think you may have coined his (future) name. "Big Mac" :biggrin2:
