Finished over the weekend and what a great read. Can't wait for part three and I'm very worried about Brady.

Had some fun reading this from another angle and here's what I mean. Was thinking about the Easter Eggs that often land in the books, like for example room 217 and the "19" key code in this book. Then I noticed something else. Related to our favorite message board, this place is what I mean.

KITCHEN UTENSILS Pete labels the box. In big letters....GIANT letters you might say. Who do we know that wants to visit a certain writer's kitchen?

"Magnificent noir" a phrase I come across while reading. Hmmmmmmmmmm very close to a certain Kiwi we all know and love.

"Cat out of the bag" I come across as well. Very close to one of the board's nicest people, don't you think?

Purely coincidence, but I really got a kick out of it.

Purely coincidence, but.........

Did you find any others?

I did catch the cat out of the bag thing and admit it gave me a thrill...then I thought, naaaah. Can't be. Cat out of the bag is a pretty common phrase. Still, I think I will claim it. ;-D

Wasn't it cool? And it's yours CAT!! :love_heart:

Was speaking with Robin Furth about Mr. Mercedes. She definitely found several deep Dark Tower references (or Easter Eggs) as you put it. Just an FYI.

Love it! Thanks Brian!!!

If you read the initial letter of the first word of every third chapter, but backwards, it spells out "Carrie's Younger Brother"!!!

not really

LOL!

Actually, depending on how Brady turns out in Book 3, he might actually be considered Carrie's younger brother....:icon_eek:

I wonder if the word "and" on page 82 of "Finders Keepers" is the same "and" on page 347 of "Wolves of the Calla"? Very subtle, but I caught it immediately.

I said this is another context in another thread, but go looking for "connections" and you are sure to find them.

That's how the witch hunters in Salem did so well.
