When you open a forum, you get a list of all the threads in that specific forum. One the left is the avatar picture of whoever started the thread, then the name of the thread.

Some threads there is the avatar of whoever started the thread, then a smaller of my own avatar, kind of covering the corner of the OP avatar.

Why?

It is threads I have posted in (I think) but not ALL threads I've posted in.

Just curious....not complaining.

I think it means you have a post in that thread. There may be delays is seeing your avatar next to the originator of a thread after you make a post.

I think it's more than just you posted in that thread. If that was it, I would be the smaller picture in every single thread I post in, and that isn't how it's working. I think it might show the threads you last posted in when you were logged on last time? Not sure.

I have an alternative for those who had a group or two that they miss from the old board. Go to a thread (old group thread like Spidey did with God Bomb and I did with Football Cave) and then put that thread in your watched thread list. When it is in the watched thread list, you can access it quickly without having to search through the most recent postings. When you open the watched thread list, it will show only recently posted threads. You can click on the "there may be more to view" line to get a complete listing of your watched threads whether they have new posts or not.

Thanks for the tip.

Kind of a related question: when I post in a thread, then go back to "new posts", I don't see the post I made at the top of the list. Why is this? I might have to start using the watched thread thingamabob.

Your own post doesn't show as a new post. The "watched threads" feature is very cool. I'm not sure if there was one on the old board. If there was I never noticed it.
