Prince, Pop Icon, Dead At 57
Brianna Provenzano,Mic 6 minutes ago

Prince, a prolific rock star known for his mysterious brand of funk rock, died Thursday morning at his Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota, TMZ has confirmed. He was 57.

The sheriff's office responded to emergency calls at 9:43 a.m., and confirmed someone has died on the grounds.

The singer was rushed to the hospital earlier this month after his jet was forced to make an emergency landing due to a severe bout of the flu, but appeared to be on the mend.

This story is breaking and will be updated as more information becomes available

I am shocked. Was just listening to When Doves Cry on the way to work this morning and thinking of that awesome clip KRF posted of Prince playing As My Guitar Gently Weeps and George Harrison's son's reaction.
I am so sad.

RIP Prince Rogers Nelson, you are already missed.

I can vividly remember listening to Dirty Mind at a party back in 1980 when it had just come out. Some people got it and some just did not. I definitely got it and I knew it was something special. That was an important moment in music for me.
