You should be able to find a copy of The Bachman Books somewhere for a good price. The version of Rage is the same as what was in the original paperback, so no sleep lost there for you! ;-D
I have a soft cover book with Rage in it - It is four Bachman books in one - I think I paid 4.99 for it at Value Village.

Mine was $7.99 on eBay, plus $15 & change for shipping so it came to around $23, but when you convert that to US currency it totalled just under $35 Canadian. For $15 American, I hope it ships fast. I hope it's in as good of condition as was promised.

I saw another for $15.00 but it had an ink smear across the top. Not from the publisher or a mistake or anything, someone actually did that to it. Mine looks to be mint from the pictures. I hope so. I will take a pic and share it when it finally gets here. :)

Alexandra, it was a hardcover for $80, right?

Yes, it was a HC. He had a few others I am missing as well. DT Wizard and Glass for $175. and DT #2 for $100.00. Those are Cdn.
prices and HC's as well. Neither one of those
were in very good shape. 'Fair Condition' I would say. It is the most expensive used book store in Kelowna. I always go to Value Village
and there is another used book store in Kelowna I go too as well. It always has a good selection and most around $8.00 to $20.00.

UPDATE :)
HC The Bachman Books Four Early Novels
Finally I saw a copy of this last week in a used book store. It was behind glass and looked to be in excellent condition.
He wanted $80.00 Cdn for it :ohnoes:

If it was a first printing (with a number line starting with a 1), that's a FANTASTIC deal. Not so great if it's a book club edition.

Guys! It's here!!!! After much stalking, yes, I know it doesn't make the package come any faster, my book has finally arrived!!! It is in MINT condition! A little yellowing of the pages, which is to be expected, but otherwise excellent. It's so old and fragile I almost don't want to touch it too much. If I tear a page I will be gutted. Here is a pic, and I have a question; is this a first edition? I know it's not the first edition of the original stories, and that it's a paperback, making it less valuable than a first edition hardcover, but still. I'm curious.

Okay, I'm trying to upload the images but it's not letting me and I have to get dressed and get this towel off my head before my hair dries weird. If anyone can tell me how to upload the file, the obvious way isn't working for me. I tried already. Not sure why.

Your picture probably needs to be resized. We have a User Guide which will explain more about how to add images to a post but if after reading that you're still having problems, let us know. A paperback would not be a first edition. It's a few years old (2013) but we also have a guide for identifying first editions which you can access at this link.

Yay! I did it. My hair is going to dry weird. I've accepted that. Okay, so maybe not a first edition, but is it a first printing of the paperback edition?
I'm not seeing a pic but there have been several different paperback editions. Is there a string of numbers on the copyright page, e.g. 10 through 1? If there are but the string of numbers does not include the 1, it is not a first printing. And my mistake about it not possibly being a first edition as I was thinking of The Bachman Books, not the paperback edition of Rage.

OMG, I'm so excited!!! The smell and the weight, the feel of the paper, this takes me back. Reminds me of my first time. Reminds me of being a kid, hiding in my room, disappearing into a book, thinking it was way too big for me and that I'd never be able to finish it, only to find that it was over much too soon and I had to either return to reality, or find another one to run to. The format is so vintage too. It's got coupons in the front and back for mail-ordering more books and the prices are insane. Kindle prices, really. For actual paperbacks! This is so cool! I had to post here because nobody on Facebook really understands, but I know here people get it. This is heaven! :)

I just can't believe it. Not a single page has been creased to mark a spot. It's so perfect! Someone took care of this book exactly the way I would have. Like they were preserving it, just for me. I don't even have a real bookmark anymore. I haven't read a paper book in... hmmm... a while. Wow. It's just so freakin NEAT!!! I'm drooling!!! (not on the book, of course, LOL)
