I had a Peter Faulk type guy in my head while reading, but more handsome and alert. Not sure who'd play him.

Yes, Jack Lemmon is still dead. Wish he weren't.Jack Lemmon would have been great. Of course he's dead which is a deal breaker.
e you back, and sorry for your injury. Hope it heals quickly. The only thing I dislike about these people is that they assume you've read everything and watched every movie or made-for-television production of theirs and their comments do show it. In Just After Sunset he made a Tim Robbins remark that sailed over my head. I read it months ago and only just now got the connection.
Why do they have to assume that everyone's a fan of the most rabid type imaginable? And why for god's sake do they have to treat every last person as if we're a fan of the most obnoxious sort? I've been treated that way by several 'famous' people now, some of whom I never would have guessed would even act that way. Some of whom I really admired and thought nothing remotely close to what they assumed I must think.
I barely have any time to notice people of celebrity status, I haven't been on this site for months because of my work. The only reason I'm here now is that I was physically injured and given 3 weeks off duty. It's been the slowest, most boring 3 weeks of this year and for the first two weeks I was in too much pain to be here. I've only just now stopped feeling the really intense agony of the wound so that I can comment without sounding as if I'm out of touch with reality. Unfortunately it decided to show me only the comments from this year so I lost all the other Alerts.
