Is it possible to arrest the rising of dough by putting it in a cold place temporarily? I would like to go pick up my son in half an hour but the dough is in the bread pan rising and I don't want it to get so big that it overflows.

Guess it's time to go Google
:cool2:

I know with a sweet dough like the type used for cinnamon buns you can put it in the fridge overnight and use it the next day. Not sure if bread dough might be the same?
