Yes, 5 miles is 10,000 steps which I try to get every day.

the 95,000 steps I took that day took me 12 hours of almost constant movement. Walking and various exercises. I was getting a little concerned about getting my heart rate up that high for that length of time, so took many moments each hour to cool down and relax or I would've gotten that Olympian badge. I was moving and sweating my butt off that last 2 hours trying to get 100,000, but I just couldn't get it.

This was extremely difficult to achieve and I may try one more time for the Olympian badge, but it is an all day commitment to the goal.

Here are the exact stats:

95,024 steps taken
49.33 miles walked
5,915 calories burned
656 active minutes
Hey fitbit owners, this is a great time to go for those badges. What took me 12 hours would take you stronger, younger, healthier people much less time I'm sure.

I don't have a fitbit but I will use the Health feature on my iPhone to keep track of my steps

Here's an interesting article I found (but it's not about fitness - just retirement)

Senior Living: The art of idleness

I found a YouTube channel that uploads 10-20 minute long reels of 70s-80s commercials and for some reason I can’t stop watching them, there’s something so endearing about them and just how corny a lot of them are. Did you know Harrison Ford stars in a Japanese Beer commercial from the early 90s?

Thanks, Dana Jean for bumping this back up here as we get closer to shutter time. This was a list I'd compiled a while back and posted when first announcing that the Board would be shuttered once I was retired. I appreciate your suggestion that there are many Boards to join and why not try more than one of them to see which one fits each person. Even this Board hasn't been the one that does that for some people and why there are so many choices.

Nature abhors a vacuum.
Nature revels in diversity.

I was thinking about families this morning. :)
Getting together to watch football games, or gathering for summer picnics, holiday feasts, or just sitting together at the dinner table or around the pool.
Families love one another, but they don't always like each other.lol, sometimes they don't like each other at all. But that's okay. :)

"Oh gawwwwd, the so &so's showed up!"

Yep! The so & so's showed up. :)
And just think how things would be if they didn't. Everyone would happy, smiling, getting along, all being like minded and painfully agreeable.
The hero's would have no one to defend, the gentle peacemakers would have nothing to do. The list goes on.
How BORING that could be. :)

Bottom line:
I think families love enjoy all their family members. Even the ones they're not particularly fond of. :)
Families revel in diversity too.
I think so at least. :)

And even those family members who seem to think they've been persecuted and maligned for their opinions are still accepted and haven't been told not to come to gatherings in spite of their having very different views from their hosts. :)

Tis your Rome, Domina.
And you rule justly and kindly. :)
Just trying to keep things civil. Best to know what you're dealing with so that when offenders step over the line, they know what to expect. Although as you said, they often continue their behavior anyway and then act surprised when they're called out on it or think they're being singled out. Human nature, I guess.
