I was feeling down tonight and this video was such a gift. This man is funny and intelligent and doesn't have a drop of self-pity. I don't feel sorry for him, either, but I was moved with compassion by his story. I admire him, I do, and I sincerely hope he found the woman he was looking for.

The guy next to him is an advocate for the disabled and mentally ill and he's an inspiration, too. Big heart. Check out his channel. (He occasionally gives updates on the people he interviews.)

He is adorable. And I want somebody to slow dance with him.

This is a live stream from the Tucson Botanical Gardens. Rosie, A Corpse Flower, is due to bloom any minute. Moderator , did you visit the Gardens on any of your visits?

Rosie is an Amorphophallus Titanum, one of the world’s largest and rarest flowers (more commonly known as the corpse flower). Rosie's located in the Tucson Botanical Garden in Arizona and she's scheduled to bloom at any time. The blooming process can take up to 10 years, and the bloom only lasts 24-36 hours. When it blooms, it emits a repulsive odor of rotting flesh. You can get updates on Rosie's progress and learn more about her history here -

I have been there. I don't remember seeing this particular garden but considering the odor it emits, think I'm just as happy not to be there when it blooms. :smile2:
