Just reread "Dolan's Cadillac" after many years. I was pleasantly surprised to see the tribute to EAP's "The Cask of the Amontillado". The dialog between Robinson and Dolan is almost a mirror image of the Montressor and Fortunato dialog. Can't believe I didn't remember that as part of the story. Two great tales of revenge!

I haven't read that story in a while, but it was a good one. If I recall correctly, the protagonist did years of focused preparation to exact his revenge, which I always thought was fascinating.

Isn't there supposed to be a movie version of this at some point?

Thanks for reminding me about this tale...

It's already been made and released (2009) but think it may have gone straight to video. It starred Christian Slater.

Thanks for the "heads-up" Ms.Mod, I'd missed the DVD release. But after a quick Search , I just picked it up on Amazon UK for £2-50 ($4-18). Bargain!
So that's something to look forward to.
Cheers;)
