This is really quite a good idea, Becki.
Thank you Donald. You are welcome to join in this (and every) Friday. We only have a few people each week, but it's interesting the nuances each person catches in the story. We are in the Nightmare and Dreamscapes thread, just find the story with Fridays date. We are doing short stories as a beginning. Consider yourself invited.

Sorry, this is the first time I've had to sit today... I have read the second story for our next assignment. A Rose for Emily ..Wasn't she named Emily for Emily Dickenson?

I don't know. I know Dickinson was a recluse. But besides that, it doesn't seem like any kind of . . . I mean Dickinson would be horrified at the thought. Interesting story, I think.

Perhaps the protagonist was named for Emily Bronte instead. Dark brooding father... I am appreciative of the writing, homework, and thought processes, also the connections with other writers. You have really put a lot of time and effort into this group.

Yes, this in an interesting story. I am still mentally making connections and stitching theories together. Will answer as many questions as I can.images-29.jpeg
