I love this book! :matrix:
I picked it up at the grocery store used and I’ve spent the day reafing it again. The style of writing and the way he captures this narrator’s soul never gets old to me.
I bought my copy in a grocery store, too. It was the hardcover. I got it at a grocery store (that starts with K) in Cape Coral, Florida when it first came out. I didn't always have access to book stores so I can remember the elation of twirling those paperback racks in the supermarket or finding out a new book was available. This was pre-internet. If I didn't read it in the paper or see a tv ad then I wouldn't know. At sixteen I got wise and went to the library and got on their priority list. :heheh:

Yes, I believe that's it.
@Spidey unless there's another 'K' grocery chain.
It’s the same company as Fry’s in the Southwest and other parts of the country. I got mine at Hannaford’s in Derry in a donation book drop. It said you could buy it for a dollar, but the clerk told me that the dollar went into the donation box at the stand with the books. The donation stand (no box) said bring your dollar to the clerk....:nope:
I shop there every day so next time I go I’ll give my dollar to the manager on duty and explain the futility of the conundrum.
