Hello everyone. I have some catching up to do. Reading like a maniac. 1922, A Good Marriage, Mile 81, In The Tall Grass, Finders Keepers. I'm on a rampage. Read those last week while on vacation. On to Revival.

WOW! Thanks for the great welcome!

I love reading Stephen King. This should be a blast. I am looking forward to delving in.

Audra,
I'll pass on the balloon as I was terrified if Bozo as a young child. (Funny story).

Danie,
I never met Leif Garret but I spoke with someone (Sue now in her 50's) who was still heart broken that she did not get to meet him when she was 14. Apparently there was a walk-a-thon in the 70's and when complete, the prize was to meet Leif and receive an autographed photo. When she got there Leif was not.
I managed to get in touch with his fan club/girlfriend and got her an 8x10 glossy of the young Leif Garret in his white disco jacket saying, "I'm sorry I missed you Sue".

Steffen,
Thanks. I've had some experience in posting on a fishing forum I frequent(thousands of posts, stories and comments) so I may have acquired a knack for catchy titles. My brother-in-law would call me an idiot savant, a myna bird of sorts, spewing clever comments and statements at appropriate times. My wife would just call me an idiot.

Kingricefan,
Just started Revival last night.

As a side note, I picked the profile photo, not because I like looking at myself but recently someone said that it would be a good picture to be posted on one of those tribute/memory boards at a wake or funeral when I die. I thought that was funny and true so there it is.

Cool line from A Good Marriage....

He cried so loudly that crows took wing from the fence-line and swirled away into the blue sky like charred paper.
