Really well made, I think Pet Cemetery might have inspired the book/movie Children Under the Stairs, initially.
The New Pet Cemetery feels like a continuation of the other ones, seems like they put all the pieces for it to be a continuation, or a remake… I like the idea of the family out there… it’s kinda romantic… they tried explaining the reason more too

The Dr… I think he would have examined her way more, as in nerve reflex, eyes and light… and she brings back hell… Which is interesting because the story brings up the idea that she was in hell, the little girl, maybe one of the first times I’ve seen that… I mean torturous limbo ya.. but she has been in hell…
Personally, I had considered children in hell from the perspective of reincarnation, and that because the bible can be quoted as saying heaven was brought about grown like a seed, by the mind, then the imagination of sickly, tortured figures of people whom saw themselves as monsters, such as from infliction, and imagined themselves as such, would then look as such in the after life and be likely persecuted by Christian kingdom, whom fight off ghouls and horrid appearance. In such terms, having to process such would perhaps mean offer incarnation missions so they can die as beauty, yet instilled to fulfill, perhaps possession, amen.
As for Dr father, he could have just not been a Dr and seen an accident scene…
I liked how the mother was too traumatized over own sister to ever accept her daughter, made more sense for rejecting her… I’m surprised there wasn’t more time of them trying to live with the little girl, and realizing she was just dead. IF felt like it wasn’t explored… but the child’s realization that she is dead, as she breaks the photos, that her life is indeed over… yet her life was what they wanted to preserve…
Oh yes, I think that this is kina a remake of Monkey’s Paw… cat is first wish… then saving his son.. then bringing back girl… and each of the granted wishes led to the further intense situation… I’ve thought of rewriting Monkey’s Paw and having seen this, I doubt I could anymore.
