Now that we're starting to learn more about "Revival" through the reviews, I have to say I am excited about the aspect of electricity. I have a feeling King is going to use the scientific principles of the subject in a very entertaining fashion, and that we will probably learn a lot from the book about electrons.

Then again, I could be wrong. But I do hope we get some expository, almost magazine-like articles on electricity. Sometimes doing that sort of thing lends an eerie atmosphere to a horror tale.

GNTLGNT, that made me laugh! Yet you got me wondering. If the "Bag of Bones" compensation model has been conserved after all these years -- big if, considering digital disruption -- then it could be $2 million upfront (and that is not an advance, just a payment, no need to be recouped) plus 50% of the profits.

I hope to get this book soon, if not tomorrow. Been difficult for me to find time to read -- I've actually been reading a lot of horror comics lately (last one read: issue 1 of Archie's "Afterlife," which, let me tell you, is great, and whose premise is actually inspired by "Pet Sematary" in part, I do not kid -- everyone should read it; I accessed this through the larger magazine format that just recently saw publication at the newsstands, fun horror references in it; and, in that magazine issue, there was a superb preview of a new take on "Sabrina"). "Revival" seems like a solid read given the concept behind it.

I Just woke up, I want to take the bus to B&N and get the book and there's like at least a foot of gross old snow! I'm trying to get myself motivated to go, I'm calling up that new book smell, thinking about how there'll be hot coffee for me when I get there...what a girl will do for a book!

Spend some time on a theatrical lighting crew. You'll understand far more about electricity than you ever thought possible and learn how to *not* ground yourself. I can make an extension cord to this day after working at the IU opera house on their light crew back in the Dark Ages.

Yes, I will, thanks! It's very snowy, but not as bad as I imagined it would be. First it was late fall, then suddenly full winter. At least it's warm enough to snow :) I managed to make it out onto the bus downtown to buy the new book. Too bad I don't have time to read it.
