Stephen King's Revival Book Tour Fall 2014

My husband literally works blocks from the B&N in NYC and I work just a few train stops away. One of us could easily get on line before work and snag a wrist band. The Problem? I have no interest! (Is there something wrong with me?) Other people would give their first born to be able to attend a SK book signing, or even just to line up for the chance. I really wish I could swap places with someone (like in Freaky Friday) and allow one of you to attend. I would if I could!

Okay, you must now resign from the SKMB. Now. Pronto. ;;D Maybe by the time it rolls around you'll be up for it?
Hmmmm... maybe you're right. It is almost 2 months from now. Who knows? Maybe I'll be all caught up in the excitement and salivating to go by then. I think part of my problem is having to wait in line and figuring out how much before 9am I'll have to get there. That kind of planning always causes me all sorts of anxiety.

And there's no guarantee of getting a wristband because Steve will only be there from noon to 2 PM so they have an idea of how many they can give out and then will be stopping. We defer to the bookstores but personally I don't like signings that are done this way because all the people past a certain point are going to be upset. I suppose that's going to happen no matter what as there are never enough spots for all the people who want to be there, though.

Dear Lord, I can't even IMAGINE being able to stand in line, clutching a book, and slowly make my way up and finally stand in front of him. I remember going to a Marco Pierre White book signing, I was the youngest in the queue. Lots of older ladies, looking smart and respectable. And me, dressed to the nines in a new HellBunny dress, hat, gloves, heels. Just about hyperventilating. And glad I dressed up. To me it was a monumental occasion! (Some might like to remove the first 4 letters of my second to last word there.....);;D

I haven't lined up the night before for an event since Blondie back in the early 80s!
I haven't done it since Prince did his Purple Rain tour! In an alley behind a record store in Seattle in Febuary. We found an old mattress and drug it down there and napped on that, using sleeping bags for warmth. Ahhh, the days before the internet.....

ok... I found my copy of the Necronomicon and looked up the spell for trading bodies. My hubby won't notice any changes UNLESS you vacuum. Do not vacuum! Will your husband notice the change? Any tips?

I suppose this is a good a place as any to ask if anyone is going to the Portland gig on the 11th/Nov/??? I'd love to meet and chat with other SKMB'ers! There's a bunch of us going, thing is we're all getting there at different times.,so won't ALL be in line with each other. But we could do a lunch afterward or something? Let me know if interested., thanks! :) ps. Man, I hope we get in line early enough.....
