Whoa! Just saw this in the latest Cemetery Dance newsletter:

Not only do we have TWO very special (unannounced) signed Limited Editions from Robert McCammon deep in production to be published this year (and they are very unique books that have never seen print in this format before!), but I'm thrilled to report that in February 2018 we'll be publishing one of our most important releases ever: THE LISTENER by Robert McCammon, a breathtaking new novel that will not only please his longtime fans but also captivate readers who have somehow missed out on his previous work. This one feels like a game changer to everyone who has read it.

Simply put, this is one of the finest novels I've read in years. Period. THE LISTENER will be published in trade hardcover and eBook formats for general readers, but we also have some incredible plans for the signed editions as well. Stay tuned for complete details over the next year as we gear up to publish this novel in a major way.

Is Rick leaving Subterranean Press? goathunter Hunter, what's going on in the land of McCammon?

I still need to find signed copies of Usher's Passing, Gone South, Queen Of Bedlam hdbk and Mister Slaughter from Sub Press.
I know you may not want to pay full price but The Alabama Booksmith (near me) offers signed first editions and they have a website. They only charge retail, no markup. They usually stay stocked up on his books.

I use the Booksmith! IMO, jacket price is more than fair for a signed first, especially considering how beautifully McCammon's books tend to be...

So, has anyone read McCammon's early stuff? Baal, Bethany's Sin, The Night Boat, They Thirst? Opinions?
Bethany ' s Sin is sitting in my TBR pile. The cover put me off for a while--looks like my mom's old bodice ripper books (lol). They Thirst was a pretty good vampire novel. Very plot driven, as opposed to character driven (like Boy's Life). I can't remember a single character's name, in fact, but entire scenes are still very clear in my mind, even a few years after reading it once.

I really wish it would be made into a film. Can you imagine? And I don't mean some Lifetime movie-of-the-week either! Don't really much care for her but I think Jennifer Lawrence would be great as the Mom. =D

Starting around 2005 or so, Frank Darabont tried for about seven years to get a film version of MINE made. Studios weren't interested because the two lead characters were women.

True story. Idiots.

The signed/limiteds that were published by River City (publisher of the hardback of Speaks The Nightbird) go for hundreds.

Just to clarify, the signed limited editions of The Queen of Bedlam were published by Subterranean Press. Camelot Books still has one, but they're asking $175 for it.

The Queen of Bedlam — Camelot Books: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror books

The good news is that the publication of the Subterranean edition lowered the prices on the crappy, low-quality original HC that Pocket put out.

Yes, I remember the stir it caused when Darabont was mentioned that he had wanted to do this film. I really wish it could get made. The plot is just fantastic and it just doesn't stop.
