We have this thing in my town called Avenues of Art. Every year the city sprinkles pieces of art around town, and they're usually displayed for a year. Some of the more popular pieces are bought and find a permanent home here, others are sent on their way.

This is a new piece for this year. I wanted to get my own picture of him, but he is on a very busy street, displayed next to the library entrance. Not really a safe place for me to get a picture, and right in front of him would be too close. So I found some on the web instead. The name of the piece is Storm's Brewing and the artist is Jeannine Young. But the first time I saw him, I saw Roland.

Here he is, displayed in Loveland, Colorado. I hope he ends up having a permanent home here!

The rope in the hand isn't exactly Roland, but as a whole, I think he could be! What do you all think?

I ain't no graphic artist of the high caliber of me Ma (pardon the gun pun), but I swished out a quick sketch the last time I was reading DT.

The first picture is my sketch (I was also lamenting my own swill addiction).

The second is apparently what my Stripe thinks aboot it :facepalm_smiley:View attachment 1810

I like your quick sketch! Stripe is a beautiful kitty. Stripe 2's stripe is in the same spot?

Your cat has incredibly long whiskers! Heh! Maybe it's the red background.
