I really enjoyed the first two episodes. I'm glad that it's on at the 8 o'clock time also as I can't stay up much past that time anymore what with having to be up at 4 am for work. I thought that they did a really great job explaining how Dan's character is not dead. ;-D It should be interesting to see how they handle the story line about the grand son that likes to dress in girls clothing. I have a friend that is going through this exact same thing so it hits close to home for me. They have a lot of topics to explore that were touched on during the first two episodes that should be quite fun and interesting to watch! I'm happy that this show is back on!!

Hey kingricefan I thought they handled that well too. The scene in the classroom with the little girl who called her grandson a name was great, especially after Roseann dealt with it.

Funny but I never did see the original show so wasn't sure if I'd like this one, but it was quite good and pretty funny.

Loved it as well! As a fan of the original (BEFORE they won the lottery) I was hoping they would get back to their roots and I think they did it in fine, respectful, fashion. I loved the scene with the two Becky's meeting for the "first" time!
I thought that was cool too, bringing back both Beckys. I like Sarah Chalke, she's a great actress.

Watched it.

Thought it was OK. Seems like they were trying too hard to be controversial and edgy. Jokes seemed a little forced at times.

They already have been renewed for an additional season. Hoping it gets better.
Having never seen the original series (or just overhearing snippets of it in the past) I did get a few laugh out loud moments this time around.

Years ago when the show first came out I just thought it had no class (maybe I was a bit of a snob and didn't realize it) but I was willing to give it a shot this time.

I hope it continues to be funny, but time will tell.

Agreed on everything (I'd blue ribbon, but the damn thing won't post)

It was never must watch television for me, but I liked the new episodes. It's supposed to be political, I think. Wasn't that the whole point of the reboot? Maybe it wasn't, not sure, but I did hear Gilbert and Barr saying they wanted to create a dialogue amidst the current atmosphere of divided families/relationships. I thought the jokes and jabs were equally distributed, though Roseanne, viewers should know, will have the last word.

I get that they wanted to include political statements and other current issues, but they've inserted almost every conceivable special interest issue right into the family, and into the first two episodes. For me, it was overkill and I got bored in a hurry. I'm in the minority though, since it's already been renewed for another season. I won't be one of the millions of viewers tuning in.
