I grew up reading Alfred Hitchcock at a very young age and graduated to reading SK in my early teens. He's been the "Constant Writer" in my life and I got to see him a few years ago in Sarasota, FL.
At the door when you went in to get your seat they asked if you had any questions for him. I thought of one right away and wrote it on the index card they provided. Imagine my delight when later in the evening as he sat onstage he pulled out the index cards and chose mine as one of the few he read and answered! I'm as happy to be here, among those who love him as well. Greetings!

Welcome to the board, and what the hell was the question!!?
I asked him if he had always loved riddles, because of the scenes with Blaine the Mono, and if he had then what was one of his favorite riddles?
He said that yes, he had always loved riddles but up there on stage he couldn't think of a single one. So he told a baseball joke instead. I don't remember what the joke was.

Hi crystalfox, and Welcome! I'm curious about 2 things...
1. What was the question you asked.
2. Were the Hitchcock books hardcover bound with a bunch of short stories in them? (Because I read those as well prior to reading SK at 13 years old).
All the best, mal

As for the Hitchcock books, I got them from our local public library and yes, they were clothbound! That's fantastic!
