Hi everyone!!! In this world of confusion, sometimes we forget to look after precious friends. Some of them are declining right now, and this puts the humanity at risk of declining too. I am a bee lover, and I know how indispensable they are to our survival. They polonise flowers and plants, and they produce honey and wax. If they were not there, we wouldn't have fruits, vegetables and those are necessary so that animals continue the feed themselves, and subsequently contribue to put food on our table every day.
This pub was published by an important cereal company out here in Canada. It helped people realise how nature needs our help from time to time.
We can plant seeds in our little yard, which I did, and attract the bees with many sorts of them. We are not sure why bees are slowly declining, but if we just do our share, the processus could slow down a little bit. Please excuse my English, if I made some mistakes in my post, but I just wanted to share this with you. Have a super summer everybody.

I just bought two little bee houses a couple weekends ago. Not sure if it's for the right bees though.

I did this a year or so ago. I caught a little flack here and there because wildflowers can be considered invasive weeds in some areas, but I panted my little pack of seeds anyway. It seems to have attracted more honeybees than I had last year, and my lawn guys keep them trimmed back nicely so they don't overtake the yard. I'm glad I did it.

The complex causes of worldwide bee declines

This article points to many different causes including urban sprawl as well as agricultural causes...

And of course climate change.

This is a wonderful act of selflessness and compassion...

And what jumps out at me is you have "lawn guys"...

Oh and "panting" seed packs...

Sounds like a sorority prank...

Yeah I can't help myself.

I read somewhere, also, that the insect population on earth has declined by 50% over the last 25 years. I don't know why, maybe the use of pesticides or genetically modified plants resistant to insects, but it is scary.

My lawn guys are actually my cousin's husband and his dad. They cut the grass and do the trimming because my property is too sloped, and it's dangerous for me to do it myself .....It's still NC, ya know! :biggrin2:

I'll leave the seed panting to your imagination........

Also do not, I repeat do not, leave anything to my imagination...

Is it normal for "Bow chinka bow wow" to be playing non-stop in my head all waking hours? :feel_good:

I thought it was Bow chicka wow wow (but then I'm a Canuck)

Have you been watching too much Reba?
Might be (but then I'm a Tar Heel) and the theme music is just a small part of those videos in my head...:)

And honestly can seriously say NOOOOO...

Reba had the only true accent on that show...

So yeah I have watched it a little. :a11:
