I'm not 'scared' of clowns. But I had a scary experience as a 5 year old child that has led me to be creeped out by them. When I first read IT, I though King had got in my head. Since then I've met a lot of people who don't like clowns, which is sort of my position, one of which is my wife.

I'm consciously aware of being afraid of clowns, but I did have a nightmare about a clown once. I dreamt that I was in the bathroom of a stranger's house. I looked out of the open window and a clown walked by, looked in on me and kept walking. I could feel that the clown was evil. If I remember correctly the clown was made up all in white.

Well, the one in my nightmare had no makeup except his face was white and I think he was wearing a white stocking kind of thing over his head but not his face, you know to make him appear bald. He was a clown but he also looked kind of like a dead body wrapped in something, or like something otherwise unidentifiable.

Yes, though my clown wasn't skeletal at all. Actually, the more I think about it the more he seems to look a lot like Pennywise in IT, just with no makeup except for the white.
