Clowns don't scare me but I do think they're creepy. I think it's because they're always smiling so it makes it harder to tell what the person is really like, that......... and they look completely normal holding a butcher knife......

I am not afraid of circus clowns (as far as I know), but pedestrian clowns -- people who walk around as if they are not clowns, but wear false faces -- can be very scary, because they are often so difficult to recognize.

Yeah, I voted that I'm scared of clowns. I don't have a phobia, not terrified...but they're definitely creepy.

It's their eyes. It's the only thing on a clown's face that isn't a lie.

That doesn't mean the grease paint is much better...

Saw it again tonight on cable,Killer Clowns from Outer Space..so hokey,so silly,yet there are moments when the clowns do seem a little scary..

Not me,not really..what was a little disturbing was the people who dressed up like clowns and hung out in public places,was that last summer,just to scare people..nothing so scary as real people..

And the coulrophobia continues..with the SC incidents.There are several possibilities,first,that someone is trying to lure or kidnap kids while dressed as a clown..the second,that someone is being a jokester and scaring people.Third,that it is all false and just an invention by kids scaring themselves..I tend to think it may be a mixture of two and three,maybe some kid or teen thought it would be funny,and of course,it will take hold..hard to believe no signs of activity or sightings by a responsible adult have been noted.And the police found so sign of activity where the "clowns" were supposedly living,there would be signs that can be seen by a trained observer..As we recall,things like this can take root,like the salem witch trials,from innocent beginnings..I have to wonder why a predator suddenly chose this housing development,and dresses in clown stuff..the truth is most of them are family members or friends of the family,stranger danger is just not that prevalent except in big cities..
