I am posting my collection for sale, I have 157 SK books, I have a hardcover and softcover copy of each of these...some I have doubles and triples of. The thing that is keeping these books from finding a new home is I am not at all interested in dividing them...it's take them all or forget it! Also I am not paying for shipping the collection, so if you don't want to drive to Kansas you probably don't want to waste your time looking! I will do my best to provide a list of what I have...if you want to know if something is a first edition good luck with that...they are books, I didn't care what edition they were when I bought them... and at a reasonable price I am asking $500.00 for the whole lot. Also the bookcase is for sale, I am asking $500.00 for it also, but if you want all of the books and the bookcase I would cut you a better deal. If you think you are seriously interested message me and I'll give you my personal email address for correspondence, thank you!

I also have 1 softcover of the Colorado Kid...forgot to add that one! These books would figure out to $3.18 a piece and would make a great gift for yourself or someone else. I have really enjoyed reading each of these stories most have been read more than once. I only read the soft covers, so most of those will have some character to them, the hardcovers I bought and didn't read...however some of the hardcovers were purchased used. Overall the condition of the hardcovers is really good to mint I would say. Stephen King books are the only thing I have ever collected, and I think SK is a great writer, super gifted, but for my self personally we move around a lot, on average every two or three years, it's a lot of baggage to keep carrying, and it would really make me happy to know they are going to someone who will appreciate them as much as I have. If selling them doesn't work out, then I think I am going to donate the collection to our local library.

I'm way up in Canada and unless a tornado picks up my house and lands it in Kansas, I don't think I'll be able to make it down there (unfortunately)

Good luck with selling :nerd:

p.s. hubby would probably kill me if I bought that many King books at one time - he already thinks I have too many! :biggrin2:

....given your conditions, I'd say the library is gonna make out like a bandit.....I'm not being a wise azz, just mean that-by not parceling them out, shipping etc.-you are cutting your customer base to almost nothing....
It's interesting to me how you always manage to pick me out of the line up here and find something to say that begins with something similar to "I'm not being a wise azz" lol! It's ok, I'm no fool to where I live, but I also know that not everyone lives on the west coast, east coast or out of the country...I thought I'd give this a try! I've tried ebay and our local sellers forum and had no replies on this book lot, before I head to the library I thought this would be a chance for someone to have something nice for themselves or a friend that I couldn't have reached on another platform.

Just something for you to think about...There are about 1000 people every year who spend $400 for an non resident hunting license and then another $80 for a deer tag, with out of state tags from New York, Wisconsin, Washington state...they don't pay just to come to our state they pay to come to our county and they also spend money for gas to get here, money for lodging, money for food. Am I so crazy to think that someone out there might want a set of books as bad as they may want to bag a deer? Bottom line is, in this world if someone wants something bad enough, they'll do their part to get it.

...I will bow out of this now-was simply trying to be helpful.....I am not in need of a dissertation on the joys of traveling to Kansas.....

Is it just me or does this person seem to have a "chip off their shoulder" from the first post on? I mean, I'm not one to sit on my opinion here, that's for sure. But your selling books and a book shelf, a pretty cool looking book shelf from the looks of it but to me your whole demeanor comes off kind of sh!tty. Almost like "if you don't by these books they are going to the library!!" lol. And then your weird deer story, that was just outta left field.
You might have better success selling your items with a little bit better attitude and possibly splitting up the lot. I mean its like you want to spite yourself, take it all or nothing or I will give them away for free. Umm yeah ok, that makes sense.

i think GNTLGNT's advice was spot on. the conditions are a bit to stringent to expect much, especially with so many duplicates. if you knew if any duplicates had something special about them, maybe. do you have any used book stores in your area? because to get any money out of them at all, that might be your best bet unless you decide to split them up. if you absolutely won't split them up under any circumstances, you should probably just head to the library. but if you split them up, you'd likely please a number of different fans who are missing just one or two of these and would like to get them, rather than trying to find one unicorn of a buyer who will accept all those restrictions. you can also charge shipping a little easier if you break them up. you might also try facebook yard sale groups for your area.
