At one time Stephen answered all of his letters personally. However, he came to realize that he had to make a choice between answering letters or writing books. As you can see, he chose the books and has left answering letters to his staff. He does not have a public email address. If you would still like to write, please let me know and I will send you the office address privately.

Hello, I’m new to this page. I would like the information on how to send a letter to, Mr. Stephen King’s staff. I’m an aspiring actress & I would love to discuss some things, regarding a current series from one of his books! I’d really appreciate it!

Welcome to the Board!

I've sent you a private message with the address.

Hello, I’m new here. I’m a russian fan and would like to ask Stephen King (or his staff?) about his opinion on russian literature. This is for writers' survey for school project. Is this even possible?

Thanks!
Stephen doesn't personally post on the Message Board. I don't recall his mentioning Russian literature in any interviews or his books but perhaps someone else may.

Thank you for the answer, I understand that he doesn't post here, but is there no other way to send him a survey? To work email maybe?

sorry for bothering you

He doesn't have an email that I can give out. His schedule is quite busy but if I think there's an opportunity to ask, I'll do so and post his response here.

I find that most writers don't like hearing from other writers unless they're really good friends like Joe Hill and Neil Gaiman. Many writers avoid other writers because of competitiveness or not wanting to be influenced by them or their ideas (for obvious reasons). Writers like hearing from fans, especially if they were massively affected by a novel in some way. For example, a book inspired them to change their life and that was how they met their spouse.

No offense taken--just didn't want people to think I'm prowling around in his kitchen cupboards or that our office was located in his house. ;) He does like hot chocolate and had what looked like some amazing cups of it while we were there. One was so thick, it was only slightly less thick than pudding--very decadent. Otherwise, he's a tea drinker--doesn't like coffee at all. I never saw any hot beverages being served in big bowls in Paris o_O --always just your typical cup. Have to say, though, that the "American" coffee in Paris was better than the "American" coffee I had in Italy but Germany did it best.
Oh, have I got some tea for him to try! I love both coffee and tea (so I'll drink his share of the coffee) but I've become totally obsessed with the Queen Mary Creamy Earl Grey and Alice's Wonderland Rooibos. Seriously get him some for his birthday or something. They're to die for. We're lucky enough to have the tea room here in Seattle but you can get it online.
