This is the newest addition to my guitar family. It's a Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe III. A beautiful guitar. Sounds amazing and doesn't kill me with the weight:

And here are the others (yeah, that's a Squire in there, not a Fender):

My strings are mostly Ernie Ball .10's (been using them for a decade). The acoustic is Ernie Ball as well, but I don't recall the gauge as of now. I do have D'Addario 0.12's ready to go on the acoustic when it's time to change them, though. Just changing brands on it for kicks, I guess. I currently have a set of .09's on the Jackson without the Floyd (the ones that came on it when I bought it a few weeks ago), but those will be changed out soon.

I love the Floyd Rose trem system, personally. It took me a while to figure out how to change the strings or downtune, but it's worth it for me.

I'm not really good with technical terms for everything so I couldn't tell you stuff like pickups and all that.
And my son's bookcase looks like yours -- same stuff.

Nice!

I've used Daddario strings forever. I really like them.

Can't use the .009s though. Too heavy of a strum hand. I always snap them :(

I used to use SIT strings but they discontinued distributing them in this area so I wound up settling for Ernie Balls... jacobtlong swiftdog2.0

The D'Addarios on my acoustic really sound great (Nickel Bronze 0.12's). Granted, I just gave the guitar a bit of a truss rod adjustment so that might have something to do with it too. I want to get a better acoustic guitar because mine is pretty bad, though. It used to be an acoustic/electric, but the pickup was placed right below the bridge and that put the strings so far above the neck it was insanely difficult to play. So I took the pickup out completely and it has been at least serviceable ever since. I still want to get a better acoustic at some point.

I've found Ernie Balls to be really dependable for my electrics, but I bought a few pairs of d'Addario NYXL's recently just for kicks. See how that works out. I used to use DR strings, but I moved away from those when someone at Guitar Center recommended that Ernie Balls might suit me better. And they did.

Nice!

They aren't my gauge of choice, either. I am pretty much a .10's guy through and through. Feels strange to play something so light and bendy.

Same here with the
D'Addarios, Seems there is a trade off, Long lasting with okay brightness, or Kick ass twang with extremely limited life.
I'll post my guitars later when at home,
1976 Fender Tele
Samick 12-string
Rickenbacker,slim neck
and a Ibanez bass

This is the newest addition to the SwiftDog guitarsenal!

She's a Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH HT in metallic black with a maple neck. She came equipped with a Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck and a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge. She's rocking a three-way blade switch, volume knob, a push/pull no-load tone knob, and a hardtail bridge. The tone knob allows you to split the pickups for single coil tones, use it as a traditional tone knob, or disengage it completely. The push/pull and 3-way switch gives you six different tone configurations.

I traded my candy-apple blue San Dimas Style 1 HS hardtail for this one. I liked the HS but never really fell in love with it. Too bright sounding even after I swapped the single coil in the neck for a Seymour Duncan cool rails.

This little baby sounds killer so far. I'm going to put her through her paces and make her growl, squeal, wail, and cry :smiley_simmons:

So my Crate amplifier has a headphone jack. So does my Marshall. When I plug headphones into the Marshall all sound is compressed into the headphones. With the Crate it's not diminished at all... still comes out at full volume. I am so slow. All this time I never realized that was so that you could wear the headphones as a personal monitor if no other is available.

That's an interesting configuration. Don't feel bad, I wouldn't have realized that either!

Not really an instrument but I just ordered a Holey Board pedalboard from Chemistry Design Werks. I'll put up a link later when I can get to my computer at home.

Falls under the "why didn't I think of that?!" category. These boards allow you to secure effects pedals with zip ties rather than Velcro. I have (and have had) Velcro base boards in the past and the adhesive for the Velcro always fails on one or more peals. The zip tie approach is pretty ingenious!

I'm sure I've shared these before but here are my current guitars. I'm not rich enough for Fenders or Gibsons, my Epiphone Les Paul is the most I've ever spent on a guitar at £400. I used to have a translucent amber coloured one but as I've matured, so have my tastes. Now I just love tobacco sunburst.

This one is funny because I've had so many guitars over the years that I have since sold or traded, but I still have my very first guitar - a Chinese squire afinity strat made in 2000, part of a beginners strat pack. Everything about says it's cheap and should be crap but I still like it, it is also the 1st guitar I customised properly, setting the intonation, truss rod bow, string height etc until it felt right. I also sanded the back of the neck.

A generic "Shine" (known as Douglas in US) hollow body. Shine have a bit of a reputation for cheap guitars that are either excellent for the price or not even worth the cheap price. It seems to be pot luck. This one is pretty crap.

My acoustic, a Turner 42CE - nice looking, nice sound, comfortable, good electronics. I really like this, I got it because I wanted a cheapish acoustic when I never had one and found it in my local guitar shop for £150 (they were £350 new) because it had a repair done on its neck. I use guage 10 strings on all of them, phospor bronze on the acoustic, usually D'Addario.
