Whenever I go to a local used book store I check through a few Kings hoping to find a signed one. No luck yet.
Great find! 'Salem's Lot is one of my King top 3.
Don't stop looking! I once found a beautiful un-read hardback copy of Insomnia that was signed. Snatched that one up r-e-a-l fast! I've always wondered just how that book made it to a thrift store in a small town in Washinton (the same town where that interstate freeway bridge collapsed a few months ago).

The signature appears authentic to me but no idea what to think of how it got to a library--unless someone donated it and didn't realize a signed copy would be valuable. Or why the library didn't!

Maybe they didn't realize. Our library has a signed, hardcover, limited run print of one of Jack Ketchum's books, worth thousands the last time I checked, and it's still on the shelf. Crazy people. SO tempted to 'lose' it last time I checked it out (lol), but I couldn't live with myself. Stupid conscience.

We still have some John Irving and Jack Ketchum signed books left that they donated to benefit The Haven Foundation. We've since discontinued the on-line store part of the Haven Foundation web site but if you're interested, let me know. They're not limited editions but I can guarantee they signed them. Working from home today and can't remember the titles but should be back in the office tomorrow.

*Gasp* Irving is in my top 5 writers, all time. I'm come over with vapours :ft:--let me know when you're back in the office. :)

I'd be interested in either of them myself, Marsha.
