I was talking to my cousin today and he told me the funniest thing about his wife. Apparently she’s been mad at him since Sunday because he ate all of the meat out of the collard greens!

Let me tell . . .we both laughed so hard because he said other things that I won’t post but it had to do with meat! He’s my coolest cousin!
If you’re Southern bred then you know the importance of meat being in the collard greens!

So . . .tell me about your silly arguments.

I have a sister in law that I tend to make angry without even trying.

She's all women's rights blah blah blah. Without going I to a long story, basically, she believes a woman with LESS skills and LESS education should be hired instead of a man at the same salary. Specifically, we were discussing firefighters.

The conversation didn't go well. It never does.

Hey - if that woman is big and strong enough to carry me out of a burning building then she has my vote! But I do see your point - just because it was unequal in the past doesn't mean we should be doing it still, only reversing it and discriminating against the men just because of their gender. :m_firecrackers: Woo Hoo! - it's finally Friday at last TGIF!

It's very competitive here. I know men who get trained as paramedics and firemen, thought it's not required here. And they work in related fields always adding to their resume. And sil felt this young woman should get the job because she's a woman. And this young woman, after graduating, sat back and let daddy support her while she waited for the job to come and find her.

I have some friends that got divorced a long time ago. I think the reason was because of not filling up the ice cube trays. It was the only thing I ever saw them fight about and they used to fight about it every time one of them wanted some ice. :)

The ice cube trays was only the tip of the iceberg (yeah, I really did say that ).

Here at home...my wife might be in the living room, watching the Tigers lose, and I'm in the kitchen where I like to read...been awhile since we last made contact so I'll say in a loud voice, "Do I have to come in there!" Or she'll say, again, in a loud voice simulating anger, "Don't make me put my foot down!" And then all is well and all manner of things are well.
