Does anyone have the PS Publishing Limited? Is the juice worth the squeeze?

I currently only have an older BCE of this and have been looking to get a nicer version. The PS Publishing version looks really nice. I generally prefer the standard raised letter/embossed dust jacket US editions with nice boards and cloth binding, but this version does look really cool. Even if just for the novelty of it. I believe my 1st Edition of Lisey's Story has a similar look with a seamless graphic on the boards.

Anyone care to comment on the quality? Is it a worthwhile edition?

Thanks

It's a lovely edition with a cool skeleton design slipcase. The book itself is quite heavy and printed on nice paper. It's stuffed with full color artwork through out with full color pictorial boards and dust jacket. It's finished with a ribbon marker and signed/numbered limitation page (not King). A good price for what you get. PS has done a nice job with all the early titles so far.

If you really want a nice copy of Skeleton Crew, go for the original limited edition that was published by Scream/Press. IMHO it's the second best limited after The Stand. Someone is selling an unsigned copy on ebay right now. They dropped the price from $300 to $250. I missed out on the chance to get a signed copy (this was published before everyone had a computer in their hand) but was able to snag one of the unsigned copies and it is gorgeous! I have a copy of the PS Publishing Skeleton Crew and while it is nice enough, I really don't care much for the illustrations. Some of them are cool but my reaction to most was 'Eh.'. I only bought it because I want the full set of King titles from this publisher.

Yeah, definitely a good price. My overall impression of that one was positive, but I don't care for the slipcase design at all and most of the artwork is rather cheesy and unimpressive to me. Not as classy as some of the CD edition books. But PS's Thinner - that one is beautiful to me. Love it.

Really? The slipcase is my favorite part :(

But I agree with kingricefan that the Scream Press edition is amazing. I finally picked one up this past year at a really good price. If you want to spend a bit more, that's the way to go. Or you could order the new one coming from Cemetery Dance.

I gave in and ordered myself the collector's anniversary edition from PS publishing. It arrived a couple of days later. Love the slipcase design. It's a beautiful edition in my humble opinion, and I'm so glad I bought it. Lovely illustrations throughout the book. I'm looking forward to rereading it as soon as I finish my reread of The Dark Half.

This edition has really got me super excited for my Carrie edition from CD as well as their Salem's Lot edition. I'm also tempted to buy PS Publishing's slipcase edition of Salem's Lot which is split into three novella size books held in a beautiful slipcase. Time to sell my kidney on eBay, lol.

PS Publishing has also released their editions of Thinner, Pet Semetary and Carrie.

I think this is it - just Google Cemetery Dance and Skeleton Crew together and click on images.

I managed to find Thinner and Carrie on there, but not Pet Semetery. Thinner is showing as out of stock, and the price is over £2000! I've got Carrie coming from Cemetery Dance. I used a discount code and managed to get that at half price. A shame I can't find Pet Semetery, but I think that's going to be a special edition from CD at some point so I'll grab one of those.

I do have the Barns & Noble leather bound omnibus of Carrie, Salem's Lot and The Shining, which is a love edition with its reflective silver edging on all the pages. I managed to pick that up for £19.99 last year, brand new.

I tried uploading some pictures for you, but I must be doing something wrong. The edition I have is signed by Stephen Jones and the artist, whose name I have forgotten. Sorry. It is a lovely edition, though. I'm very happy to have bought it. And its a limited edition.

The edition of Thinner is probably the lettered edition signed by King.

Here are some pics of the books PS has published so far in the Doubleday anniversary editions along with the Cemetery Dance Carrie gift edition and Scream Press Skeleton Crew S/L.
