I was debating which book to read next as i have read many of his most famous works but i still have a lot to read. I was thinking i didn't want to get into The Stand yet due to the length but i decided over the weekend that i will be starting this book, the unabridged version.

I don't know how long it will take to finish but it has been good for the first 100 pages. i have only read a little of the book but i can already tell there are a lot of characters! please no spoilers on anything but i may be coming to this forum and clarifying things if i need help during the book.

If you haven't seen the miniseries, skip it. Enjoy the journey. We just had a book club discussion about this book in September and it was a reminder of how many fans there are of it. The story is grand, the characters charming- it cold be one of King's best stories.

...ask away if you need to my friend, and I understand the qualms about the length....but it's a huge tale that reads like a short story....you just lose yourself in it, and time flies....
