Starting to play guitar because of the Revival

First things first.. Big hug to everyone!! If you don't need it, please have my warm hello.

I've just started Revival and was wondering if you guys tried out something new because of a book you read. I have had an acoustic guitar for years, but haven't even touched it. Now, as I am reading how Jamie started out with the Cherry Cherry, I found myself learning the chords of the song. I hope I will be able to play it.

A little game in the end: I've got a few books I haven't read yet and after finishing Revival I will pick up the book that the first commenter tells me to read.

Thanks very much, for me its harder to strum right(especially up) than to change chords. I think I'll finish Revival today and jump right into full dark at night. Sounds a perfect day to me.
