Wilmington DE, strange little place.
the next section is called , little sleep-head sprouting hair in the moonlight.

the baby is back, (her name is Maud) the man is speaking about her.
he gives a long liturgy about how he will care or her.
and not let her go until.
the rats walk away from the culture of plague and sword blades bend to true North
and the Grease no longer work or slide ; in the machines of progress
(this list sounds very much like Eddies speech , (in a daze) about the door way
they found after they killed Shardak the bear , in the woods.)

then the mans speaking to the baby, says
" on some impossible Tuesday in the year of two thousand and nine/
you will find yourself walking among black stone , in the rain, the rain drops
saying one word over and over , ci-git, ci-git, ci-git

the wages of dying is Love

then there is a scene in s southern jail with a sheriff who curses and ****s
and write in his dirty police blotter. this is very much like Susanna in jail.

by this sheriff is kind also, he knows better then the rest of us,
the cruelty of that... cubicle

then:
...might we not hear, even then, the cry of the bear from the hill side,

the next part is called the path among the stones

the man is walking on a path and comes to a valley,... a clearing
A land of quills , and ink wells of skulls, filled with black water.

"I walk out of myself ,among the stones of the field"
this sounds to me like Roland last walk towards the tower, in the field of roses,
with the pyramid shaped things on all sides.
there is the line:

'somewhere in the legend of blood sacrifice...the Fatted Cafe
take the Bonfire into its arms and
...HE burns IT'

the last part , part ten is called ::Lastness

still in the valley, (clearing) the man see 'skinny waterfalls and a small fire burning'
he says "...no matter who it was for, it burns because a "dying world set it burning"
'A black bear sits alone in the twilight, slowly turning round and around itself"

the bear eats a few flowers and Sanders off.

switch to a hospital room and the man is having a new baby , being born that
moment, A boy named Sancho Fergus

switch back to the valley and he is walking towards the cliffs of stone
he calls out to the stone and they call back.
then he senses he should STOP. stop here, where the stones stop calling back
the answers turn to stone and nothing comes back

here , between answers and nothing

he can hear elk hooves in the distance (just as Roland heard deer in his field of roses)

stop, stop here. ...Living brings you to death, there is no other path.

this is the tenth poem , the last. It is right at the last.
The One and the Zero walk off together.\
Walk off the page together. One creature walking with the emptiness.

lastness is Brightness
