Any SK fan who has seen Fringe already knows there are SK references galore. Any who have not seen Fringe should give it a try. It is a fantastic show on its own. Plus you get to keep an eye out for all the SK nods.

Won't go into them all but who doesn't want to see
the concept of thinnies explored. Or a certain gigantic gleaming glass-green castle.

We've talked about this in another thread, but the (excellent) game Alan Wake has a heavy SK feel to it, was inspired by SK and starts with an SK quote. The game itself is a survival horror about a writer losing his mind in a small village in the forrest.

I believe ms. Mod said the company even sent Steve a copy but he never played it because he didn't own an Xbox360

I love Alan Wake. One of the only video games worthy of my attention. ;)

One of my favorite shows, Supernatural, has had several SK references throughout the series. I usually wait until the show is out on DVD before I watch the new seasons, but from what I read, last night's episode had a reference to Thinner. Can't wait to see that! :welcoming:

From the other side of the pond:

Kate Bush wrote a song called Get Out of My House which was on her album The Dreaming (1982). She said it was inspired by the novel The Shining.

French and Saunders (Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders) did a pretty hilarious spoof of Misery on one of their shows. It's on YouTube.

i loooooooooove Kate!
