Steve gave a heads up to the new Chet book series. Have read them all and must say love the narrator- Chet ( all from his point of view) !!

The new Spencer Quinn novel about Chet the dog is called HEART OF BARKNESS. Check out this song (and dog video), I think written by the author. It touched my heart. https://www.youtube.com/embed/sak5irueaL4 …

Recently finished two that I think Constant Readers might be interested in: Killing Commendatore by Haruki Murakami is another of the author's entries driven by existential philosophy and magical realism, with a hint of the supernatural that ought to be familiar. The plot centers on an artist who retreats to a cabin in the mountains to discover that his paintings have more power than he realized; this one reminded me very much of Duma Key.

Our Last Night by Taylor Adams is best known for its relentless pacing; a ghost story with a sentimental streak, the story is written in evocative, accessible language. The character building holds up to King fans' discerning tastes, and the scares are worthy of any horror fan's interest.

I am currently reading A Wild Sheep Chase by Murakami. Just barely started. I hope it's good. Have you read it?

Wow! This is one terrific horror/suspense/disaster novel. Characters you root for and a story that grips from the first page. Coming your way in February of next year.

This is the one Michael Koryta wrote under the pen name I was telling you guys about. Even more excited now!

Michael Koryta was pretty excited about it too...
