I think he wants to make it look like they (the hands) are holding guns? I wonder how hard that would be to do in concrete? (Great idea, by the way!)

Well, of course he does. He doesn't want Roland holding succulents. He just fills the gloves with cement and positions them the way he wants them to dry.

Of course he doesn't want Roland holding succulents (you nutbar you~)
:p By the way I just watched your video after posting my comment - I was just wondering if he would have to mold the hands around a weapon or what :playful::smiley_simmons::stupid:

Not sure how he would do it, just gave him a link to give him some ideas. He's doing a fantastic job, so he will figure it out.

As far as the face, you could go to the craft store and get one of those plastic face masks -- Michaels has them. cover the plastic with strips of newspaper, maybe cover that with one of those fruit net bags, sort of like a more pliable material for the cement to hold onto than chicken wire which would be too rigid for the delicacies of the face, and then cover with cement. The paper and netting gives the cement something to hold onto.

I don't know how well that would work, but you could give it a try and tweak it as you go.

And one last thing, would this be Roland with or without missing fingers?

great advice -
oh man forgot the fingers !!!

I'll have a look at the video after work, it's 7am here - but yeh it sounds like a plan. The head, oh boy- I've been watching face off with my daughter - maybe I'll pass that onto her.

He got a visitor today -

can't you use gloves? leather gloves? size large? seems like that would turn the trick. awesome work! really looking forward to the finished product!

got me an old set from work I'm gonna use, maybe like Dana and neesy suggested and use cement to fill and position the fingers Walt .

chopping his fingers might be a step too far- might have to go pre lobstrocity attack , mayhaps Tull gunfight.
