Delighted to find out that White is E.B White - the author of Charlotte's Web! Enjoying this little book of grammar, especially as my 11-year old has been having his English SATS exams and they now include heavy-duty spelling, grammar and punctuation. If he can understand a fronted adverbial phrase* (I imagine Steven King would delete any immediately) and the subjunctive form, maybe I can manage to string a story together.


*Or possibly clause? One more to look up...

A 'radiant' book. In my copy the pic of Charlotte with her 'magnum opus' egg sac is upside down! Would be interested to know if anyone else has noticed this... should look like hanging from ceiling.
