When trying to find my way back here, I went to the SK web-site and clicked the link to the message board. It still goes to the old board.

Please do not think this is a criticism. It just seems one of the things that can easily get forgotten. I think you've done an amazing job setting this place up.

...ain't nothin' this old Ohio redneck likes better than some turned on cookies...ok well, there's boobies, but besides that!...
You can't have either!

Cookie/category update... for the first time when I logged in last night (and today) the categories were still collapsed. The only changes (kind of major) are that I was offline for 2 days and had to reconfigure the modem before coming back. (The internet problem wasn't at my end though, it was a faulty port--on the providers end.)

Oh my... even though I like to pretend to understand tech, I don't. Boobies, yeah as long as they are blue footed, or hanging loose or tucked away, and cookies, chocolate chunk, shortbread, snickerdoodle, or pfeffernusses...but tech related?...No
Jordan would you please set up a section that we can add to about poetry? Ragan and Ebd and Duma and many others had some wonderful poetry. Don't want to lose it. I would check it almost every day...

Yes, that would pretty cool....

I'm not sure if a general thread for poetry would be a problem for copyright issues or not? I think one reason it was okay on the old board was because it was less visible. (being in the Social Group area)
But if Marsha did give it the go ahead, you wouldn't necessarily need a new category for it, a thread in Chattery Teeth might be appropriate? (Please don't start one until we hear back from her though.)

I think the poetry was written by members, not copied poems. Since that might make a difference, make sure to clarify with those that were active in that area. :)

Will check with Marsha, but part of the reason we don't allow members to post original work (aside from the Halloween story) in the main threads (as opposed to the old Social Groups that were less visible) is because of the potential for having Stephen called out with plagiarism issues. Because he has already had to deal with this is the past, it just hasn't been worth the risk. Marsha will let us know for sure when she is next in.

That sounds familiar. I was thinking in terms of copy someone else's work into the forum, which is common (though not proper) on many message boards, but when you are an official site, the owner of the copywrite has a specific person to sue.

Exactly! And you wouldn't believe the flimsy grounds on which some people base their plagiarism claims. I think in some cases the hope is that he will settle just to be done with it and they'll get some money out of it.
