I saw this posted somewhere.

I've always felt it is the symbol for IT's true name, which we'll never know as we can't possibly comprehend it. We only see layered projections, as our minds struggle to interpret it into something we can understand.
Yes I saw that too. I also saw it resembles a Chinese symbol for child missing right arm but IT takes Georgie's left arm sooooo. I saw the post about the Pre-Sumarian symbol in this chat, but still dead ends. Leave it to King to keep me guessing......

First, Cameraman it would DEFINITELY make a nice tatoo and maybe I'll do it on me hahaha

Second, Cooley welcome! No, I didn't figure it yet. I guess the best answer yet was yours, about child missing right arm...

.......as King explained the symbol in the novel-it summarizes each child's greatest fear, and my thought is that it is taken from the written language of Mid-World, before the world moved on.....

Okay, this is strange. The symbol in my book is different from the one that Cameraman posted. It's the same idea, yes, but the details are different. Any reason why this is the case? Since symbols don't usually get lost in translation...
