I read Small World years ago, and disliked it, so haven't tried any others.
You should give her another try. It's my theory that Tabby was painted into a corner with her first novel- the publisher wanted her to write something along the lines of what her husband wrote in order to get a book contract. Really, none of her other books are anything like Small World with the exception of The Trap (a thriller where nothing supernatural or science-fiction-ey happen). Her strong point is main stream fiction with sex thrown in for good measure. I highly recommend Pearl!

Did anyone else pre-order a signed copy of Pearl from Cemetery Dance quite some time ago? I need to go back through my emails (daunting task - it's quite a mess!). Maybe I'm hallucinating. Do you remember anything about this kingricefan ?
Morgan, I just got home from work. Indeed, it was Small World that you pre-ordered. It should be released some time soon.

How do you like working odd shifts? My new job is very weird in that regard - it will take me a while to get used to it :dizzy:
I usually work either an 8-5 or 7-4 or 6-3. Sometimes I get lucky and have to work a 5-2. These are all day shifts. No graveyards for me! But, I wish they were all the same time as I don't like the 'all over the place' shifts. It doesn't bode well for relaxing.

Willing to trade off a bit of change in shifts for the increase in activity myself (thanks for answering!)

So to get back to the thread topic at hand I have never read any of her work (yet).

I have only found two of her books, small world and pearl.. I hope,to,find the rest of hers but it is really hard to find. I think I will start with peral, I will not start with small world.

She felt like she got painted into a corner and people just decided her work was not worth it, or she could not try or just got no attention because she was just Stephen Kings wife. Wich pisses me off. I have a small felling this will happen to Owen as well. But I hope not. Tabby reallympushed joe to write under Joe hill and not JOspeh KIng

Pearl is a great one to start with. Her books are cheap on Amazon. That's where I got my copies.

She needs to "come of age" and publish another one :D Hell, it could be a book about gardening. I'd buy that.

I whant her to write a biography, I whant i5 from her side, about king's crazy fans, how she sees things, her experiences what was it like finding out her husband had a drug problem and having to host a intervention and possabley walking away from everything, how she sees her 4 grandkids, Schoenberg she sees joes writting career, and her grading, and niomi, and pietree orchad, and just everything, I think she whould have lots of cool and inter sting stuff to say. To. Ugh focus has been on Steve and joe, I whant it from her.

I agree; that would be interesting. I doubt it would ever happen, though. Tabby seems to like her privacy.

She already has at least one book written (Steve includes it in his list of best books at the back of On Writing) but it is as of yet unpublished. I'm sure she probably has one or two more tucked away. I guess she just didn't sell enough copies of books for her publisher to keep promoting? Which is a load of crap as she was a bestselling author in her own right. Maybe now that Cemetary Dance is doing signed/limiteds of her previous books that they can convince her to let them publish the book that Steve listed in On Writing....

I just think she is to busy or is enjoying doing other things, I mean she is on birds of many differ s things, she is the owner of pietree orchands wich I think she helps run, plus she must go with Steve to his events.. but it whould be cool to see her write a new book. I whould like a collaboration between the two of them. But we will see
