I'll never have the chance to meet Mr. King, but I can hope someone he knows might see this message and pass along my appreciation. I never do this sort of thing. I loved The Dark Tower series. I loved it so much I stopped reading for about a year after reading Song of Susannah. To me, the story was always about the journey, and Roland was always destined to wander. I could not see how Mr. King could end the story and maintain this truth. The image of Roland driving of into the sunset with Eddie at the end of book 6 was the best ending I thought I could hope for. I was afraid the actual ending of the story would be fumbled. I just finished the Dark Tower tonight and was thrilled to see Mr. King stayed true to Roland's nature as wanderer in finishing the story, and expressed as much in the Coda. Mr. King, thank you so much for a great journey, though I am sad to have reached the end.

Welcome to the MB. I read the whole series up to the end of Song of Susannah three times before reading the final book, completely understand how you were feeling.
